There is nothing quite like feeling appreciated! Thank you so much to all of the wonderful students and parents that made me feel loved today! I hope my students know I love them too!
I think that traveling is one of the best ways to learn about different cultures! I have been fortunate enough to travel to 20 different states, Europe, Central America, and the Caribbean. I have traveled with both friends and family. I have gone in cars, planes, and ships. I'd like to share two of my favorite destinations with you: Italy and California. I took my first trip to Italy in the spring of 2011. I traveled with my school's Concert Choir to visit Florence, Milan, Verona, Bologna, and Venice. The best part was that my little sister, Rachel, took the trip with the choir as well. I made many special memories with her, including tasting gelato (Italian ice-cream), singing in very old cathedrals, and seeing magnificent artwork and architecture. Here are some pictures of my trip to Italy: This summer, I took my third trip out to California. I have now been to San Francisco three times and to Los Angeles once. I love visiting California because the climate is perfect, the food is fresh, and there are many interesting places to see. This time in San Francisco, I visited a Japanese Tea Garden, Napa Valley, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the DeYoung Museum of Art. I even stuck my feet into the chilly Pacific Ocean! After a week in San Francisco, I flew to Los Angeles. I went to Venice Beach, Beverly Hills, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. As you can see by the pictures below, I had a great time! Now you know a little bit more about my travels. What about you? Where have you been, or where do you want to go?
